Superintendent Roscoe Lane, Jr. is the Founder and Overseer of The Living Word Church of God in Christ Ministries, in Rochester, New York, established August 1983. Gifted with the qualities of a leader and organizer, Pastor Lane has been divinely appointed and anointed by God with the pastoral mantle.

His desire is to fulfill the tasks that God has assigned him to do, which are preaching, teaching, and encouraging God’s people to put their faith and hope in God. He articulates a strong statement that offers the only real choice to the problems of the day – salvation through Jesus Christ. The Living Word also facilitates awareness and support programs within the community, providing free food, clothing, and other resource information to the community.

Superintendent Lane has strengthened and encouraged the faith of many that God allowed to cross his path. He emanates compassion and understanding, thus people are drawn to him for absolution, and others are transformed by his example. Forgiveness, love, and altruism are the paths he walks. Disciplined and focused, reliable and honest, conservative, practical, and hard working, he is the idealist, and will do everything in his power to live up to his ideals in order to be a good example for others to follow. He has a loving and giving spirit, which makes him a model for any man that aspires to be a husband, father, and leader. This is the essence of his identity. He has been married to First Lady Annette Lane since 1971, and they are the proud parents of ten children, a host of grand, and great grand, children. His love for family is second only to his love for God. There are many that need to be touched by his wisdom.
